THE BIRTH OF AN ARTIST IGOR CORRALES:
FROM THE MATURE CHILD TO THE ARTIST WITH A CHILD'S SOUL The works of Igor Corrales are Arts that occupy interior and exterior spaces of art collectors and museums of modern art. But they have a very peculiar history that goes back to the life of the child that was and the man who became the Master.
1-The Child and nature The boy Igor played, had fun in the forests and meadows of the surroundings of Somoto, in Nicaragua. The boy was fascinated by that captivating nature in which he enjoyed finding archeological forms and pieces, inventing his own games, manufacturing objects with natural materials, observant to be inspired and drawing what he felt in his mind when he saw her ... Also that nature was the result of subsistence since the boy hunted wild boars, deers, hares, fish, to bring food to the table, collected exotic fruits to please his family and provide meals. So the forest was not only a source of survival but also the environment, the atmosphere that nurtured his imagination as a child who watched everything, interpreting it, converting it, customizing it, under different artistic forms --- drawings, manufactured objects, work tools, invented toys ... 2-The Mature Child A boy who already showed maturity due to his responsibilities of going to find bread to feed his family, whether working as a shoe shiner and a newspaper delivery man who aroused his curiosity focusing on the politics and history of his country; due to the difficult living conditions in a warlike Nicaragua in the 1980s. Moreover, his maturity provided a refuge and incentive to dream; a universe that gave birth to his passion for creation and artistic fulfillment; It was also a therapy that made him forget the rudeness of the economic context that surrounded him at the time. 3-The emergence of the Artist This is how the Artist Man was created; he produced artistic works while preserving his soul as a child; because his Art attests to that classification as a symbiosis of Modern Naive Art. Apart from rejecting realistic elements, the Master privileges, impressions and sensations designed in the form of children's representations in many works, choosing certain curves, shapes and colors that he draws from his visions of the past. Igor Corrales throughout his life as a child until adulthood developed, lived and continues to live a passionate bond with the Arts. Art or rather the Fine Arts are an Art of living life, a way of living reality through his artistic lens, interpreting it with new guidelines imposed by the Arts. Wherever he may be, in Nicaragua or outside his country, that is the concept of the Artist Being that Igor Corrales merges: the natural and the cultural, training both sides until the Artificial reaches the greatness of the soul of the Natural.
